Common Questions
Everything you need to know about second act coaching, reinvention after 50, and building your next chapter in Portugal
Our Second Act Coaching Program runs for 12 weeks, but most people start feeling clarity within 4-6 weeks. That said, reinvention isn't a straight line—some folks know exactly what they want by week 8, while others need the full program to feel confident. We work at your pace, not on a generic timeline.
Absolutely. We've worked with engineers who became mentors, executives who started volunteering with nonprofits, and managers who shifted into community work. The skills you've built—leadership, problem-solving, people management—transfer in ways you might not see yet. That's exactly what our coaching helps you uncover.
You could find volunteer work on your own, sure. But knowing Portugal's nonprofit landscape, understanding visa implications if you're expat, connecting with organizations in Cascais and Sintra that actually value your background, and structuring volunteer roles that build your skills? That's where our Volunteer Pathways program makes the difference. We skip the trial-and-error.
Not at all. Some clients want part-time consulting work, others are launching small projects, some are transitioning to mentorship roles, and yes, some are ready to step back completely. We help with all of it. This is about intentional direction, not just stopping work.
Mentorship can be part of your second act—either as a mentor sharing your experience, or working with a mentor yourself. We help you decide which fits your goals and connect you with structured programs in the Cascais and Sintra area. Some clients do both simultaneously.
That uncertainty is actually where coaching starts. You don't need to have everything figured out—you just need to be willing to explore. Many clients come to us unsure, and the process itself helps them discover whether they're ready. No pressure, just honest conversation.
